What is a Sex Therapist?

A sex therapist is a person who has the overall education (knowledge) and skills (professionally licensed) to provide psychotherapeutic services and who has had specialized training in treating sexuality-related concerns. These concerns can include sexual performance, relationship, and intimacy issues.

What is a Sexuality Educator?

A sexuality educator is a person who has the education (knowledge) and skills (can be certified) to teach and train individuals, communities and organizations on a variety of topics related to sexuality. These topics can include sexual health, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual pleasure, healthy relationships, inclusion & equity in sexual diversity, and more.
