About Maria

My name is Maria T. Driscoll, and I am a Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern specializing in supporting children, adolescents, teens and families. I am a retired school teacher of 23 years. I taught in the private sector for 14 years and Orange County public schools for 9 years. I currently hold my Florida teachers’ certificate for ages 3-3rd grade with endorsements in ESE (Exceptional student education)  ESOL (English as a 2nd language).

I have always had a love of working with children. Prior to teaching, I ran my own family daycare home for 5 years as well as obtained my Child Development associate’s degree and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten certificate (VPK certificate). I hold many certifications from DCF (Department of Children and Families) pertaining to child development and appropriate practices for children aged zero through five.

I currently am a certified Infant and Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS), working with children ages 0-3 with developmental delays and their parents, guardians, and preschool/daycare providers. I absolutely love providing children (and parents/guardians) with the tools they need to navigate times in their lives where they may just need extra support for their emotional health.

When I am not working with the little, I enjoy taking time to focus on family and self-care.
